General requirements
Interscope InstallMaster is a tool that lets you build setup kits for your applications.
Thus, you will need the following software and hadware resources in order to be able to use it
(of course, you will probably also be able to build the application itself):
Interscope InstallMaster 1.1
Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows NT 4.0
Proccessor architecture notes
Microsoft Windows NT can run on multiple platform architectures (is available for systems based on
several different processor types), such as Intel, MIPS, Alpha, Power PC. All these platforms
require different compiled (executable) binaries of the operating system (OS) itself and also
different binaries of all programs that be installed on top of the respective OS.
InstallMaster is only available for Intel platforms. This means that it can only be installed on Windows NT systems that run on systems built around Intel processors or compatibles (AMD, Cyrix, etc.). Also, the setup kits that you can build with InstallMaster will only run on Intel based systems.
Where to find DCOM
DCOM (Distributed COM) is not included in Windows 95, it must be separately installed.
It transparently provides support for reliable, secure, and efficient communication
between COM components such as ActiveX® controls, scripts, and Java applets
residing on different machines in a LAN, a WAN, or on the Internet.
